Geena Piper, 2019 Bronco Award winner, has a long list of accomplishments from her time at Hastings College. Piper has held many different leadership positions within the student body, including: resident assistant, 2018-2019 Student Association president; 2018-2019 Treasurer, 2017-2018 Co-President and 2016-2017 Community Service Chair of Alpha Phi Sigma.
Piper has also been a part of Alpha Chi, Inter-Greek Council, Executive Council — where she earned Outstanding Student Association Executive Council member in 2018, Student Alumni Ambassadors and the Student Health Advisory Council. When it comes to academics, Piper has consistently made the Dean’s List.
As a student on campus, Piper knows how to lead others to a better campus environment.
“Geena is willing to take lead on projects and lend a helping hand whenever she can,” said Kara Siedhoff, coordinator of student engagement. “Geena has been a successful SA president by being a positive role model for underclassmen, listening to the student body concerns and students voices, encouraging her peers to participate more on campus, and implementing new events and ideas on campus.”
After graduation from Hastings College, Piper will be attending the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE to become a general practicioner, focusing on rural medicine.
