SHAC, Red Cross see increase in donations for fall blood drive

Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) partnered with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive in the Hazelrigg Student Union on Sept. 11. Seniors Kaitlin Bierman and Joe Daake, co-presidents of SHAC, were in charge of the event. This year, an estimated 60 students, faculty and students came to donate 42 units of blood. Blood drive numbers lower than average

Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) held its first blood drive of the semester on Sept. 18 in rooms A and B of  Hazelrigg Student Union (HSU) in conjunction with the American Red Cross. The Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) has expanded focus on physical wellness to include mental wellness, following the absorption of Mental Wellness Educators (MWE).
